Rumors circulating around the Internet suggest that Mass Effect 2 will be a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360, with a later release on the PS3.

Dose is reporting some rumors about Mass Effect 2. How reliable these rumors are is anyone’s guess, but here they are:

-The same team that worked on Mass Effect is working on Mass Effect 2.

-The story in Mass Effect 2 will continue two months after the end of the first game.

-Your character from the original title can be transported into Mass Effect 2 via save-files.

-The game will have a CO-OP feature that can accommodate up to five players.

-There will be a multiplayer component called “Survival” where players will crash on a planet and battle to survive against endless hordes of enemies.

-The Mass Effect universe has been expanded, allowing players to explore eight times more planets than in the original.

-Players can now lead a squad of 2-5 members, instead of the previous Mass Effect’s two-member limit.

Mass Effect 2 is currently being developed by Bioware to be published by Electronic Arts for the Xbox 360 and PC. The game tentatively has a release date of 2009.
